L V Muralikrishna Reddy

Dr. L V Muralikrishna Reddy, FIE, Int. PE, CEng (UK) (born 23 June 1967) is the youngest President of India's oldest professional body of engineers, The Institution of Engineers (India) and has assumed office at the Annual General Meeting held at Hyderabad on 21 December 2014.

He has been associated with IEI-KSC, as Secretary and Chairman for Karnataka State Centre and has served in several Committees of IEI.

He is actively associated with IEEE, as Sr Member. He is instrumental to create India IEI-IEEE Excellence Award. He was member of Karnataka Sections Excom of IEEE. Currently Chair - R10 IEEE for Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Internship Committee. R10 is Region for Asia Pacific. He was recently inducted Fellow of World Academy of Productivity Science by World Confederation of Productivity Science(India).

Murali had served as the Director of NDRF, a Research Promotion Organisation.[1]

He is a recipient of fellowships from The Institution of Engineers (India), Indian Society for Technical Education, Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, The Institution of Engineering and Technology (UK). He was conferred the Distinguished Alumnus Award by the Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal. He holds multiple leadership positions at national and regional levels of professional bodies and associations, including Member-Executive Board of MICAVs (funded by the Aeronautical Research and Development Board, Department of Defence Research and the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India), amongst others. He serves as the Vice President of the Indian Institution of Production Engineers (IIPE).[2] He has promoted networking in the technological community by establishing synergy with other professional bodies to strengthen the cause of Indian engineering. One of the recent initiatives is the signing of an MoU between IEI and the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) to promote accreditation activities for technical education, R&D in technical education, development of monographs, development of curriculum and delivery of training programmes for engineers and engineering teachers, amongst others.[3]
