1900 Paris High jump

Lajos Gönczy (24 February 1881 in Szeged, Hungary – 4 December 1915 in Doberdò del Lago, Italy) was a Hungarian high jumper, who competed in the late 19th century and early 20th century. He participated in Athletics at the 1900 Summer Olympics in Paris and won the bronze medal in the high jump. Irving Baxter finished first place. He also finished second in the 1906 Intercalated Games in Athens.[1]

He was killed in action during World War I.[2]
