The lanceolate dagger moth or pointed dagger (Acronicta lanceolaria) is a moth of the family Noctuidae.[1] It is found in North America, from Nova Scotia to British Columbia.

Adults are on wing in early June in one generation.

The larva feed on various woody shrubs. In rare cases they also feed on eastern larch, Pinus and possibly other Pinophyta.
