Lara van Ruijven (born December 28, 1992 in Den Haag) is a Dutch short-track speed-skater.

Van Ruijven competed at the 2014 Winter Olympics for the Netherlands. In the 500 metres she was third in her heat, failing to advance, and placing 17th overall. As a member of the Dutch 3000 metre relay team, she was disqualified in the heats, again not advancing.[1][2]

As of September 2014, van Ruijven's best performance at the World Championships came in 2014, when she finished 5th as a member of the Dutch 3000m relay team. She also won gold medals as a member of the Dutch relay team at the 2013 and 2014 European Championships.[3]

As of September 2014, van Ruijven has one ISU Short Track Speed Skating World Cup victory, as part of the relay team in 2012-13 at Dresden. Her top World Cup ranking is 24th, in the 500 metres in 2013–14.[3]
