Leart Paqarada (born 8 October 1994) is a Kosovar-Albanian footballer who plays as a left-back for SV Sandhausen in the 2. Bundesliga.[3] He was born in Germany and is of Albanian ethnicity. He played for both of their youth teams, before switching to the Kosovo national football team on 10 October 2015 in a friendly against Equatorial Guinea.[4]

Club career

Paqarada joined SV Sandhausen in 2014 from Bayer 04 Leverkusen II. He made his 2. Bundesliga debut on 10 August 2014 against 1. FC Kaiserslautern. He played the full game in a 1–1 draw.[5]

International

In 2012, Paqarada became an Albanian citizen and played a match with the Albania national under-21 football team. On 1 October 2014, Paqarada received his first call-up from Skënder Gega to play with Albania national under-21 football team in a friendly match against Romania U21s.[6] He switched again to the Kosovo national team and has been the starting left-back.
