Lindsay Joe Wesker was born in London to parents Arnold Wesker and Doreen Wesker. He began his working career as a playwright and screenplay writer. He wrote two episodes of the British TV drama Angels[1] in 1975. His writing talents also led to a radio play, “The Grey Cloud Show”, being performed by Anthony Sheen on Capital Radio.

In 1981, Wesker began writing for the Black Echoes music paper,[2] before moving into A&R at WEA and A&M Records. In 1986, Lindsay began broadcasting on Kiss FM, where he helped the station gain a licence to broadcast legally[3] and became Head of Music there. Lindsay then worked in A&R at Avex, Mushroom and ZTT. Lindsay has been employed by MTV[4] since 1999 and created MTV Base, MTV Hits, and MTV Dance. He has self-published a novel about the music industry and, in 2013, he co-authored the book 'Masters of the Airwaves: The Rise and Rise of Underground Radio' with Dave VJ,[5][6] published by Every Generation Media. Lindsay presents a weekly radio show on www.mi-soul.com[7] owned by KISS FM founder Gordon Mac.

During this time Wesker found time to be a songwriter, writing tracks that appeared on the Dazzle albums.

Lindsay has two children, Natasha St Luce Wesker and Werner Wesker. He is married to his partner of 28 years, Claudette Patterson.
