Virender Sehwag has represented Delhi Daredevils in 86 matches, more than any other player.[1]

Delhi Daredevils (DD) is a franchise cricket team based in Delhi, India, and is one of the teams participating in the Indian Premier League (IPL). They played their first Twenty20 match in the first season of the IPL against Rajasthan Royals.[2] DD have reached the IPL playoffs thrice, and have topped the group stage table twice.[3][4][5] Their performances in the competition have resulted in their qualification for the 2009 and 2012 Champions League Twenty20 (CLT20),[2][6] in which they reached the semi-finals on the second occasion.[7] In total, 61 players have played for DD,[8] of whom Virender Sehwag has played the most matches: 86 since his debut for the franchise in 2008.[1]

The leading run-scorer for DD is Sehwag, who has scored 2,382 runs.[9] He scored 119 runs against Deccan Chargers in 2011, which is the highest individual score in an innings by a DD batsman.[10] David Warner has scored two centuries for DD,[10] whereas Sehwag, AB de Villiers and Kevin Pietersen have scored one each.[10] Pietersen has the team's best batting average: 47.25.[11][lower-greek 1] Among DD's bowlers, Morné Morkel has taken more wickets than any other, claiming 51.[12] The best bowling average is Doug Bracewell's 10.66, though among bowlers who have bowled more than 20 overs, Farveez Maharoof has the best average: 19.25.[13] Amit Mishra has the best bowling figures in an innings: he claimed five wickets against Chargers in a 2008 match, while only conceding 17 runs.[14] Naman Ojha has taken the most catches as wicket-keeper for DD,[15] with 27, while Dinesh Karthik has made the most stumpings: 13.[15] Sehwag has claimed the highest number of catches among fielders, taking 30.[16]

The first list includes all players who have played in at least one match for DD and is initially listed alphabetically by their last name.[lower-greek 2] The second list includes all those players who were brought by DD but they did not played any match. They are also initially listed alphabetically by their last name.[lower-greek 2] The third list comprises all those players who have captained the team in at least one match, arranged in the order of the first match as captain.[lower-greek 3][lower-greek 4][lower-greek 5][lower-greek 6]
