The American sci-fi-comedy television series The Greatest American Hero aired from March 18, 1981 to February 3, 1983, and starred William Katt, Robert Culp, and Connie Sellecca. It consists of 44 episodes in three seasons.

Note: In a strange coincidence, John Hinckley Jr. attempted an assassination on U.S. President Ronald Reagan on March 30, 1981 – twelve days after the show's premiere. This event would cause Ralph's last name to be temporarily changed to "Hanley". (The original name, "Hinkley", would be restored by the beginning of season 2.)
