Manjari (film)

Manjari is a 2013 Nepali film written and directed by Ganesh Dev Panday and starring Gaurav Pahari and Sujata Koirala.^[4][5] This movie is a remake of 2004 Tamil film "Kaadhal".^[6]

Plot

Ishwor is a motorbike mechanic in a Butwal and life goes according to his daily routine until he strikes with a young girl named Manjari. Manjari,daughter of powerful landlord she falls in love with Ishwor for his simplicity not worrying about their differences. Later Manjari's dad decides to marry her with an another person. Manjari wasn't happy with her dad's decision and then she goes to meet Ishwor and tells all about what her dad's decided. Manjari forces Ishwor to take her away otherwise she will kill herself. Ishwor can't disagree her. After that they goes to Kathmandu without informing their relatives. There they meet Ishwor's friend Homme. Homme let them to stay a day in his room as they had no place to go in Kathmandu. Homme, Ishwor and Manjari goes to search a room for rent as they can't stay all night in Homme room as there were 7 person who were only boys.They don't find any room. So that Homme gave an idea to Ishwor to watch movie at cinema hall and have a journey in bus for 4 hours going and same while coming. At that period of time they sleep. Again whey they reach to Kathmandu it was morning. Homme met Ishwor at the same place where they met before. He arrange a taxi and goes to do the marry of Ishwor and Manjari. Before doing marry Homme took Manjari to a beauty parlour and Ishwor to a saloon so that they can be ready to marry. After they goes to a temple for marrying. And while marrying one of the friend of Homme saw him, he thinks that Homme is doing the marry of his sister. But while asking him Homme told all about them. After listening that Homme's friend also agrees to help them. He calls all his friend and says that Ishwor has dome marriage and for his marriage they made an arrangement. After the marriage his friends give them a settlement. All of his friends drinks tea in Ishwor new home. After that Ishwor goes for searching a job of motorbike mechanic with his friend. Manjari was happy for her newly married life until she saw her uncle. Manjari cryingly said sorry to her uncle as she doesn't told him about this. Uncle accepted the apologize and requested her to return home with Ishwor. After a while Ishwor reach his home and the he saw Manjari's uncle and get shocked. Manjari running towards him said that she had told him, after they get marry no one can separate them. And they started their journey towars her home. In the middle of their journey uncle asked many question to Ishwor and knew that he was from low caste, not much educated, and poor. He beat Ishwor saying that being a poor, uneducated, low caste person, how he dared to marry a highly educated, rich and high caste girl. After they reach home. Manjari's dad badly beat Ishwor for doing this. Manjari's dad was going to kill him. Manjari could not saw that and told her dad that she will do whatever he wanted. And then they again beat Ishwor and Ishwor saved his life and goes away. Manjari's dad does her marry to a another guy. After few years Manjari, her husband, and a child of her was in market. Manjari saw a mad person who was walking on the street. Manjari looked carefully to him and saw a tattoo in his cheast written Manjari. And she knew that the mad person was Ishwor. Suddenly she became unconscious. Her husband took her to a hospital. At night while Manjari's husband and her baby was sleeping. She woke up and cried. She stood and goes to the same market where she saw Ishwor. She search him rushing here and there shouting. At last she saw him and then tried to talk with Ishwor. But he was mad and didn't knew her. She blame herself for this condition of Ishwor. While turning backwards she saw that her husband was listening her. She again blame herself that she forced him to take her away, due to me he is in this condition. Manjari's husband felt very sad for her. He took Ishwor and Manjari to his home. In this state the films end. But later a written sentence pop up telling that what happened next. It was written like this, After this Manjari and her husband took care of Ishwor and cured his madness.
