Route 225 is a northwest-southeast state highway in Massachusetts, which is signed as an eastwest route. It was formerly known as Route 25 prior to the construction of Interstate 495 south of Raynham in 1957, which was given the Route 25 designation. The stretch of highway between the Bourne Bridge in Bourne, and exit 1 of Interstate 495 (its junction with Interstate 195) in Wareham still bears the Route 25 designation, while the rest of Route 25 has been re-designated as Interstate 495 as of 1987.
