Walimuni Mudiyanselage Menaka Hemal Rajapakse, or popularly as Menaka Rajapakse (මේනක රාජපක්ශ), is an Awards winning Sri Lankan actor, and a model. He began his acting career on 2008 as a supportive actor, and the role changed in to lead, with the teledrama Muthu Kirilli, which was telecasted on ITN in 2008.

He has acted more than 30 teledramas and 2 films up to 2015.[1]

Personal life

Menaka is the second of his family was born on 24 May 1984. His father Ivan Rajapakse was a businessman worked in the hotel industry. Father died on 2004. His mother Sareena Alan, is a Malay women and was a teacher at international school.

Career

On 2005, Menaka was selected for a supportive role of the teledrama Adaraneeya Niagara. He was first sighted by a teledrama producer Samil Patel during a SAAF Games on 2005. His first lead role came during 2008, in the teledrama Muthu Kirilli. His first film is Sinhawalokanaya which is a sport-drama film.

Personal life

Menaka was married to Virangi Rajapakse on 2004, and have one daughter. They divorced on 2014, due to the secret relationship between fellow teledrama actress Nehara Pieris. Nehara and Menaka was acted in lead role in many occasions, where they first met in Muthu Kirilli, and followed in Amanda, Bharyawo, Situ Medura etc.

Nehara and Menaka married on 28 January 2014.[2][3]
