Methodist Church in Peru

The Methodist Church in Peru dates back to the late 1870s. Because the war between Chile, Peru and Bolivia this attempt failed. The first Methodist congregation was founded in 1889. It was the first Spanish-speaking evangelical church in Peru. It become autonomous in 1970. It has 6 districts with 32,000 members in 130 congregations.[1]
