Michael Hindley is a British politician, who, from 1984 until 1999, was a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) representing Lancashire East from 1984–94, and Lancashire South from 1994-99. He is a member of the Labour Party[1] In 1997, he was suspended alongside three other Labour MEP after he refused to sign an internal code of practice.[2]
He contested Blackpool North for Labour during the United Kingdom general election, 1983 but lost to the incumbent Conservative.
During The Troubles, he argued against a military British presence in Northern Ireland.[3]
