Misigisaq Restaurant

Misigisaq Restaurant was a Thai restaurant, formerly a Chinese restaurant, located at the harbor in the town of Sisimiut in western Greenland. It was the only such restaurant in the country and it used Greenlandic ingredients cooked in Asian style.[1] The restaurant started off as the only Chinese restaurant in the entire Greenland before complete change of ownership. In October 2007, The local entrepreneurs bought over the business but retained the restaurant's name.

The Chinese restaurant served local lamb, caribou, musk ox, local sea foods, and several imported items. The restaurant made some of its own ingredients including tofu, thick noodles, and spring roll skins but imports soy and other sauces, spices, and teas directly from China.[1] One of the specialties is named "Tired Fisherman's Soup".[1]
