The armored reconnaissance vehicle 4x4 or dummy tank is a Reconnaissance vehicle of the company Mowag from Switzerland.

History and Development

Originally conceived as an armored reconnaissance vehicle, the armored tank dummy is based on a Mowag T1 4x4 chassis. Purpose as targets and as a moving target for the armor Wurfgranate (exercise) as well as for practice shells of rocket tube (20mm insert operation) and the assault rifle 57 SIG SG 510, and built for practice hand grenades. 240 units were built and used from 1954 to 1987 from the Swiss army.Together with the Zielfahrzeug 68 tracked targed tank. The vehicle with the number M+83124 is now in the Full Military Museum.[1] [2]
