Murchison-Toolamba Football Club, nicknamed the Hoppers, is an Australian rules football team based in the small north eastern Victorian town of Murchison, near Nagambie.

The club was established in 1881 and began in the Upper Goulburn Football Association in 1897.[1] It now competes in the Kyabram District Football League, where they field three teams in three grades of football (Seniors, Reserves & Under 18's), and five grades of Netball (A-Grade, B-Grade, C-Grade, Under 17's & Under 15's).

Season 2010 was a successful season for the club, with 6 out of 8 teams competing in the finals series, Jess Guilfoyle winning the K.D.N.L. "A-Grade" Best & Fairest, James Milne winning both the K.D.F.L. Under 18's Best & Fairest and the Goalkicking award with 118 goals, and the Under 18's, under the leadership of Peter Cantlin & Peter Milne winning the Premiership against perpetual contenders, Stanhope. becoming the first Murchison side to win a title in the Under 18's in 30 years.

But, despite this recent success in the juniors & individually, Murchison haven't enjoyed sustained success since 1982, when the club won both the Senior & Reserve titles, and the Under 18's finished Runners-Up, in what was the most successful year in the clubs history.

The club (despite finishing Runners-Up in 1988, and finishing in 3rd place in 1995 & 1998) hasn't been able to climb those heights ever since, and as such, now have the longest senior premiership drought of all the K.D.F.L. clubs, and the Netball Club has only won one premiership title since the K.D.N.L. competition started in 1979 (C-GRADE in 2012), despite having several fine players, numerous league Best & Fairest winners & strong, competitive teams during the 33-year history of the Murchison Netball Club.[2]

The club's current colours are bottle green with a gold sash, with some white highlights. These have been the colours of the club since 1910, before that the club wore black & white stripes with a green sash (1908–1909), Green & Gold Stripes with a Red Sash (1895–1907) and a Navy Jumper with Navy Knickerbockers, Red hose & Cap (1881–1894).

The Current Coach is Brett Chapman & the President is Chris Pearson. The Senior team failed to make finals in 2015, finishing 7th.
