The NEON SAINTS Brass Band are a 12-piece brass band originating from Brighton, England, combining funk, soul, jazz and hip-hop with the second line (parades) tradition of New Orleans. The band was formed in 2013, and in 2014, their song 'Coming Out The Door' was featured as part of Jazz FM (UK)'s coverage of Love Supreme Festival and was broadcast live on Nigel Williams (broadcaster) Saturday show. In 2015, the band have had two major releases - a debut single 'Money' was released worldwide on July 16, 2015 and their album 'Show Me Something' followed in October.

Instrumentation

The NEON SAINTS are made up of 8 brass players, two drummers, and two lead vocalists. The brass section includes two tenor saxophones, three Bb trumpets, a slide trombone, sousaphone and marching trombone - which once belonged to John Entwistle from The Who.

Music

The NEON SAINTS Brass Band plays regularly in music clubs and venues across Brighton, London and the south-east of England. In 2014 they played at the Love Supreme Festival supporting Jamie Cullum and Snarky Puppy, and in 2015 opened the main stage of the Together The People festival supporting Martha Reeves and Billy Bragg.

Show Me Something

The band's debut album, Show Me Something, was recorded in July 2015 at Brighton Electric studios.
