South Central Wrestling (May 1999-January 2001) In May 1999 South Central Wrestling hosted its first event crowning Mr. Desire as the first champion in Osgood Indiana. Company owner J.P. Spaulding almost immediately began working with Kevin Jayne's American Wrestling Alliance based out of North Vernon Indiana. Spaulding and Jayne decided that moving from the company from Osgood to Madison would help the company grow, upon making this move both of these companies would join sanctioning body Infinity Pro Wrestling. In October 1999 Eric Draven (Professional Wrestler) would defeat Tello Ozeata for the SCW Championship to become the first ever SCW/IPW Champion. In early 2000 brett Morris bought SCW from J.P. Supreme Championship Wrestling (January 2001-2005)

This era is regularly described as the Maverick era. On September 16, 2000 Billy Maverick defeated Eric Draven ending Draven's forth reign as champion and beginning his first. Maverick's reign would last nearly three years (1071 days) during this reign Maverick defeated the invading outlaw wrestling promotion's champion, The Bouncer, in a Title Vs. Title match to unify the two championships. At this time Morris renamed the company Supreme Championship Wrestling to eliminate the regional restrictions suggested by the name South Central Wrestling. August 22, 2003 Billy Maverick's nearly three-year reign would come to an end when former WWE star Koko B. Ware defeated him in Hanover Indiana in a somewhat controversial fashion. AWA Supreme [American Wrestling Association] (2005-2007)

In 2005 Supreme joined Dale Gagne's American Wrestling Association. During this time company owner Brett Morris sold the company to Jeremy Bevins, and the championship would be defended throughout Indiana and a few times in Kentucky. In late 2006 Eric Draven (Professional Wrestler) would defeat Rob Royale in Winchester Kentucky on MWA's Night of Champions to become to begin his eighth reign as champion. In 2007 WWE and Dale Gagne were involved in a lawsuit. Supreme opted at this time to leave Dale's AWA.

AWA Supreme [American Wrestling All-stars] (2007-April 2015)

In 2007 Supreme would acquire legal use of the initials AWA from trademark owner (WWE) and began operating under the name American Wrestling All-stars. During this time Supreme began working closely with the NWA. While making a name for themselves having defended the Supreme Championship against challengers such as Sharkboy, Bill Dundee, Dutch Mantell, Ricky Morton, Greg Valentine, and Koko B. Ware. Former WWE Star and NWA Champion Rob Conway would eventually defeat Eric Draven (Professional Wrestler) ending his 11th reign as champion, Draven would defeat Rob Conway to regain the Supreme Championship on May 9, 2014 in Hanover Indiana. On November 7, 2014 The Texas Outlaw defeated Dave Hovak to become the AWA Supreme Champion and he would hold this championship throughout the remainder of the time the company would be known as AWA. http://prowrestlingmadison.weebly.com/^[1]

NWA Supreme (April 2015-Current)

April 2015 AWA-Supreme joined the National Wrestling Alliance and became NWA Supreme. On November 6, 2015 in Hanover Indiana Johnny Justice defeated The Texas Outlaw ending his reign as champion on his 365th day making The Texas Outlaw the man to hold the championship for the second longest reign. During Outlaw's reign he defended the championship against several former WWE, ECW, USWA, WCW, and OVW stars including (but not limited to Simon Dean, Eric Draven (Professional Wrestler), Bobo Brazil Jr. and Rob Conway. The Championship is now defended on NWA Supreme events in Madison, Jeffersonville, Seymour, Versailles, and Hanover Indiana and in other areas on other NWA affiliate events. NWA Supreme host nearly 100 events per year.
