Nation of Exiles is a 2010 American documentary film written and directed by filmmaker Bavand Karim.[1]

Synopsis

The documentary examines the roots of the Iranian Green Movement, and explores the potential for social media and citizen journalism to affect the dissemination of information around the globe. The film features interviews with Columbia University Professor Hamid Dabashi, and Ellyn Angelotti of the Poynter Institute, and includes footage of violence by government-backed militias against non-violent demonstrators and young people in Iran.[2]

Nation of Exiles screened at festivals in the United States, Brazil, Italy, France, Spain, and the U.K.[3]
