Neos S.p.A. is an Italian leisure airline with its headquarters in Somma Lombardo[4] and main base at Milan-Malpensa Airport.[5]

History

Neos was established in June 2001 as a joint venture between two tourism companies, the Italian Alpitour S.p.A. and the German TUI Group. Revenue flights were launched on 8 March 2002.[6] In January 2004 however, TUI sold its entire shares to Alpitour.[7] Until then, Neos was part of TUI Airlines. Since then, it is no longer affiliated with the TUI Group.
