The Nervures Alpamayo is a French two-place paraglider that was designed by Xavier Demoury and produced by Nervures of Soulom. It is now out of production.[1]
Design and development
The Alpamayo was designed as a tandem glider for flight training and as such was referred to as the Biplace Alpamayo, indicting that it is a two seater.[1] It was replaced in production by the Nervures Arteson.[2]
Variants
- Alpamayo 38
- Small-sized model for lighter pilots. Its 12.8 m (42.0 ft) span wing has a wing area of 38 m2 (410 sq ft) and the aspect ratio is 4.6:1. The take-off weight range is 105 to 180 kg (231 to 397 lb). The glider model is CEN-1999 Biplace certified.[2]
- Alpamayo 43
- Large-sized model for heavier pilots. Its 13.8 m (45.3 ft) span wing has a wing area of 43 m2 (460 sq ft), 46 cells and the aspect ratio is 4.6:1. The crew weight range is 120 to 220 kg (265 to 485 lb). The glider model is AFNOR Biplace and CEN-1999 Biplace certified.[1]
