NewSpring Church is a Southern Baptist megachurch located in Anderson, South Carolina. The church was founded in January 2000.[1]

Weekly church attendance averages over 32,000 people per week in person.[2][3][4] In addition, an average of 7,200 devices connect to online services each week. It is the second fastest-growing and fourth largest church in the SBC,[5] and the largest in South Carolina.[1] Overall, it is among the one hundred fastest-growing and largest churches in the United States[6][7][8] and it is ranked as the second fastest-growing church in the United States.[9][10]

In addition to the church in Anderson, NewSpring's other locations in South Carolina include, Aiken, Boiling Springs, Charleston, Clemson, Columbia, North East Columbia, Florence, Greenville, Greenwood, Hilton Head, Lexington, Myrtle Beach, Powdersville, Sumter, Rock Hill, and Spartanburg.[2][11]

Announced July 10, 2016, founder Perry Noble was removed as Senior Pastor effective July 1, 2016 for personal issues related to alcohol by the church's leadership team.[12]

Next Steps

Baptism is the first next step NewSpring Church encourages individuals to take following salvation.[13][14] On a Sunday in September 2014 2,335 people were baptized throughout their 19 South Carolina campuses.[15][16]
