Nikhil Anand (Hindi:निखिल आनंद) is an Indian born beauty pageant entrepreneur, model and the president of Glamanand Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. He is known for taking charge of the Miss Earth and Miss International franchise, among other international pageant franchises.[1][2][3] At the age of 22, Nikhil is one of the youngest national director in the world of pageantry.[4]


Nikhil Anand launched Miss Teen India and bought Miss Teen International under Glamanand in 2016.[5]

Biography

Nikhil was born in Darbhanga, a municipal corporation in the state of Bihar, India.[6] His father is a police officer of the state while his mother is a housewife.[1] He finished his degree in Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical engineering.

Nikhil joined the modelling industry in 2012 where he started as a freelance model. Aside from modelling, Nikhil also teaches Mathematics and Science in a non-governmental organization.

2013: Establishment

In the year 2013, Anand founded Glamanand Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. for organizing fashion events in the field of modelling and to provide a platform to aspiring models.

2015:Miss Earth and Miss International Franchise

Nikhil Anand applied for the rights to send India's representatives to Miss Earth pageant in 2014. As of April the following year, Carousel Productions, the parent organization of Miss Earth pageant, headed by Ramon Monzon awarded the rights to Glamanand Organization to send India's delegates to the Miss Earth pageant.[7]

Miss Earth is an annual international beauty pageant promoting environmental awareness.[8][9][10]

In October the same year, Nikhil also acquired the rights to send India's representatives to Miss International beauty pageant. He appointed Supriya Aiman of Bihar to represent India at Miss International 2015. Supriya Aiman became the first Glamanand Miss India International titleholder.[11]

2016: Miss Teen India and Miss Teen International

Nikhil Anand launched Miss Teen India pageant for the Indian girls aged between 14 and 19. Along with Miss Teen India, Nikhil bought Miss Teen International pageant for teens across the world. Miss Teen International was started in 1993 by Enrique Gonzalez of Costa Rica. In the year 2016, he sold the pageant to Nikhil Anand.

Other International Pageants

Nikhil acquired the rights of several other international pageants apart from Miss Earth and Miss International. He acquired Miss Tourism World, Miss Supertalent World , Miss Globe International, Miss Heritage International and several others.[12][13][14]
