Nimbaphrynoides liberiensis is a species of toad from highlands in the Mount Nimba region of Liberia. This Critically Endangered species is threatened by habitat loss, and mining of bauxite. This and the equally threatened N. occidentalis are the only frogs/toads that are viviparous; it is possible liberiensis should be included as a subspecies of N. occidentalis.[1]
