Octopus Media Technology /Octopus TV is a cloud based video content management and delivery platform, which enables the storage, management and global delivery of video and other files.[1][2] It was Founded in 2006 by Andrew Eborn who now acts as CEO.

In March 2008, Octopus signed a deal with Thomas Cook to host, upload, and provide a player for Thomas Cook TV.[3]

Octopus TV was a finalist in every category of UKTI's prestigious Passport to Export Awards 2008. This was a first in the history of the Awards. Octopus TV won the Award for Best Use of Services [4]

On 08 08 08 ( Octopus TV Day ) Octopus TV launched a site in association with The London Development Agency enabling anyone to upload video messages of support for the athletes in the Beijing Olympics. Octopus TV's video platform was sponsored by BT and the videos were also played out in London House, Beijing, during the Games. [5]

In July 2009, following a distribution deal between OctopusMT and The Press Association, The Independent launched an online UK video news service provided by Octopus.[6]

AmberFin and Octopus Media Technology announced in 2009 plans for a new strategic partnership.[7]

In January 2010 Octopus expanded into Korea opening up an office and providing services for a number of Korean companies including Naver Korea's biggest search engine.[8]

OctopusMT is an official supplier to England 2018, supporting England’s bid to host the 2018 World Cup.[9]

October 2014 Octopus TV forms a strategic alliance with Compact Media Group [10]

2016 Andrew Eborn, Octopus TV, produces documentary on Joe Corre, son of Malcolm McLaren & Vivienne Westwood, burning his £5 million punk collection [11]
