The Omaha Heart is an expansion team of the Legends Football League based in Omaha, Nebraska, and is the league's 13th franchise.[1] The team will play at the Ralston Arena, being selected over the WFA's Nebraska Stampede.[2] The team was formed in 2012[2] for the 2013 LFL season, due to the 2012 season being cancelled[3] (LFL Canada fielded a 2012 season[4]). According to the Omaha World-Herald, the team is projected to play two home games in 2013.[5][6] The team's name was chosen in a contest from 12,000 votes.[3] The city hosted an "LFL Football Combine" in May 2012.[7]

Tryouts

Open tryouts for the squad were planned to take place on June 23. Drills included strength, speed and agility drills. Dress attire includes athletic wear (sports bra and shorts) with sneakers. Players are to bring a photo and arrive at least 45 minutes early for registration.[3]
