Opuntia erinacea, Mojave prickly pear, is a species in the Cactaceae family, that is a distributed throughout the Mojave and Great Basin deserts. Opuntia erinacea is suspected to be an allopolyploid that resulted from hybridization between Opuntia diploursina and Opuntia basilaris.[1]
