Paratherina wolterecki is a species of fish in the Atherinidae family endemic to Indonesia.[1] They can be found in the area of Sulawesi within freshwater systems. This species is recorded to be vulnerable to becoming an endangered species.[2] The average length of this species as an unsexed male is about 15 cm or 6 in. Their environment is pelagic and they live in tropical climates. They can occupy the lakes Towuti and Mahalona in Asia. It has the characteristic of having a mouth pointed upward.[3]
