Paudhur is a village in central Nepal 28 km west of the Pokhara valley. It is a part of the Village Development Committee of Dhikur Pokhari in Kaski District, in the Gandaki Zone of northern-central Nepal, and lies west of Naudada way to Baglung. There are more than 100 houses in the village out of a total of 200 houses in this ward

Literacy

Paudhur is a literate village in Dhikur Pokhari VDC. 85 % of the people from each family are educated. There is one Primary School named Shtee Laxmi Primary school. After completing high school students here go to Pokhara for higher education. Local people from this village supported the development and progress of the school. Scholarship and financial aid are given to promising students who need assistance.

Places to visit

Paudhur is 28 km from Pokhara. Visitors may take the Baglung Highway and take Left road from the Campus gate The entire Pokhara valley can be seen from here, as well as small rivers and part of Annapurna.It is the famous route to go to Panchase

People

The majority of peo ple living in Paudhur are Brahmins and a few Kshetriyas. Many of them are from the Poudel family, others from KC. There are a few families of Pariyars, Gharti and Biswokarma.

Vegetation

People produce the food crops like paddy, wheat, maize.and cash crops like tomatoes, coffee, vegetables

Access

It can be access through land transport by using Pokhara Baglung Highway and from the campus gate(gate of Machapuchare Education campus).and take left turn and from there go ahead about 2 KM.
