The Pemberton House is an historic house in Columbus, Georgia.

Location

It is located at 11 7th Street in Columbus, Georgia.[2][3][4]

Overview

It was the private residence of John Pemberton (1831–1888), the inventor of Coca-Cola.[2][3][4] It is a Victorian cottage, and it has been moved to this new location and restored.[2] The kitchen is furnished as a "chemical laboratory" to show how Pemberton used it.[2]

It is owned by the Historic Columbus Foundation and operated as a historic house museum that includes the restored 19th-century apothecary shop and Coca-Cola Company mementos.[2][3][4]

The house has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since September 28, 1971.
