Pet Sitters International

Pet Sitters International is the world's largest educational association for professional pet sitters.[1] They represent about 7,100 independent professional pet-sitting businesses in the United States, Canada and abroad.

The organization provides educational resources, a certification program, liability insurance, The Pet Sitter's World publication, and an annual convention[1] to support its members in making a career of pet-sitting.[2] It operates the Pet Sitter Locator, an online pet-sitter search tool which the organization claims to average more than 30,000 searches per month.

Pet Sitters International created Take Your Dog to Work Day in 1999.[3] It is celebrated the Friday following Father’s Day.[4]

Pet Sitters International was established in 1994 by Patti Moran.[1]
