Peter Altabef

Peter Altabef (born 1959) is named new Unisys president, CEO as from 01/01/2016 in replacement of Ed Coleman. He was the president of Dell Services, a business unit of Dell Inc. From 2004, he was the president and CEO of Perot Systems until its acquisition by Dell in November 2009.Peter has decided to step down as president of Dell services (formerly perot systems.) (http://www.bizjournals.com/dallas/news/2011/01/13/former-perot-systems-ceo-leaves-dell.html)[1][2]

As of 2 January 2013 Peter Altabef became the President and CEO of MICROS Systems [3]

Born in New York, he received his bachelor's in economics from Binghamton University, and a degree in law from the University of Chicago. Despite his training in economics and law, he was considered something of an unlikely pick to replace Ross Perot, Jr., who was named executive chairman. The elder Ross Perot was elevated to a position of chairman emeritus.

Previously he worked in the corporate security division of Hughes & Luce LLP, and developed close ties to all three of Perot Systems' former CEOs, including the man he considers his role model, Morton Meyerson.

He is married to Jennifer Burr Altabef, who is a partner in a Dallas law firm, and they have two children.
