Petronėlė Lastienė

Petronėlė Lastienė (1897-1981), from Lithuania, is one of the Righteous Among the Nations.[1][2][3] She rescued Jewish people from Kaunas when it was occupied by the Nazis.[3] She also served as a nurse during World War I, for which she was awarded a medal.[3] Yad Vashem recognized her as one of the Righteous Among the Nations in 2000.[2] The Vilnius University library has a personal collection related to her.[4]
