[1]) birth registered in Whitehaven district, is an English professional rugby league footballer of the 1950s and '60s, and coach of the 1980s, playing at representative level for Great Britain, and at club level for Whitehaven as a Stand-off/Five-eighth, i.e. number 6, and coaching for Whitehaven, and Workington Town.

International honours

Phil Kitchin won a cap for Great Britain while at Whitehaven in 1965 against New Zealand.[2]
