Church of Our Lady of Compassion and it's Interior

The Church of Our Lady of Compassion (or Piedade) is located in Piedade which is one of Divar's largest villages that has great panoramic views. The church designed by a Goan priest is known to be the first Christian structure erected here and is a charismatic building dating from the early 18th century.[2]

The Portuguese word for Compassion is Piedade.

It is located just near the Church of Our Lady of Compassion (or Piedade) on the hilltop. Many artistic graves can be found here. It houses a chapel. Due to lack of space, niches are being made into the walls for burying the dead.
