Pittosporum patulum, referred to as pitpat particularly botanists, is a species of plant in the Pittosporaceae family endemic to the South Island of New Zealand.
It is listed in the IUCN Red List as Endangered,[1] and on the New Zealand Threat Classification System as Nationally Endangered.[2] In 1999 a recovery plan was approved by the Director-General of the Department of Conservation.[3]
It is occasionally cultivated.[4]
