The plain-backed antpitta (Grallaria haplonota) is a species of bird in the Grallariidae family. It is found in the Andes of Ecuador and the Venezuelan Coastal Range. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montane forests and heavily degraded former forest.
