Plasmarok

Plasmarok is a registered name for the fully recovered vitrified aggregate created by the Advanced Plasma Power Gasplasma waste to energy process.

Gasplasma is patented modular process that uses proven gasification and plasma conversion technology. The process works by gasifying Refuse derived fuel (RDF) to create a synthetic gas or syngas which contains soot and tars. The syngas is then placed in a plasma converter where the extremely high temperature of the plasma arc vitrifies the soot and tars. The vitrified product is called Plasmarok.

Plasmarok has been classified as fully recovered, as it leaves the plasma arc, by the UK Environment Agency. It is mechanically strong and environmentally benign.
