PlateSmart

PlateSmart is a software based license plate recognition company based in Oldsmar, Florida.[1][2] The company's software uses a video camera and computer to identify and record license plates via video analytics algorithms.

The technology has been deployed by law enforcement agencies, the University of Miami, and NCIS.[3] The US Navy is using the technology at bases and ports.[4] The company employs engineers, mathematicians, video engineers, and law enforcement officers.[3]
