Plymouth Volksfest is a three-day music festival held annually at Newnham Park, England. It usually takes place on the final weekend of May, and is owned and managed by PVF Events.
History
Plymouth Volksfest was conceived as an alternative to the Run To The Sun festival which is held in Newquay, Cornwall. However, rather than run as a single day event Plymouth Volksfest was set up to be a 3-day event.
The organisers plan was to combine a music festival atmosphere with Volkswagen enthusiasts, in order to create an action packed weekend of live bands, DJ Sets, and children's entertainment, alongside the usual Show'n'Shine car displays and car related activities
Plymouth Volkfest 2008
The first festival was held between Friday 23rd - Sunday 25 May 2008, at Newnham Park on the outskirts of Plymouth.
Performers included; Black Friday, Richard James, Wille and The Bandits, Dirty Sanchez, Mad Dog Mcrea, Hey Molly, Two Spot Gobi, Arthur Walker, Sex Pistols Experience and The Van Daniels
The festival attracted 1500 people and received favorable reviews

Plymouth Volkfest 2009
The second annual Plymouth Volksfest was held between Friday 22nd - Monday 25 May 2009
It included an expanded line-up of bands and much improved facilities from the previous year
Live acts included headliners Stereo MCs, Dreadzone, and Hazel O'Connor, Plus Mad Dog Mcrea, Ginger Hitlas, Sex Pistols Experience, Port Bandanas, The Van Daniels, Head Of Programmes, Willie & The Bandits, Two Spot Gobi, Richard James, Belfast Busker, and Black Friday
The festival attracted more than double the amount of people with ticket sales passing 5000 for the event

Plymouth Volkfest 2010
The event took place between Friday 28th - Sunday 30 May 2010
Compared with the previous year, the festival again underwent a large expansion, this time with an addition of a cabaret tent featuring acoustic performances, and live stand-up comedy. The main stage was nearly doubled in size on the previous year, to allow for a far greater number of festival goers
The Line-up included Goldie Lookin Chain, Zion Train, The Undertones, Neville Staple of The Specials, The Quails, The Mahones, Vince Lee and The Big Combo, Mad Dog Mcrea, Two Spot Gobi, Public Imitation Limited, The Van Daniels, Roadside, Kernuyck, and Richard James and The Redoubt.
The Comedy and Cabaret Tent line-up included Rufus Hound, Ian Cognito, and Dave Thompson
