Prairie Knights Casino and Resort

Prairie Knights Casino and Resort is a casino and lodge located near Fort Yates, North Dakota, on the Standing Rock Indian Reservation and about 50 miles south of Bismarck-Mandan.[1] It is operated by the Standing Rock Indian Tribe.[2] The casino offers high stakes gaming options, along with 725 slot machines, blackjack, craps, among other games.[3] The lodge portion of the casino consists of 200 guest rooms.

Location and clientele

The casino is targeted at the Bismarck-Mandan statistical area, which consists of over 100,000 people and is located about 50 miles north of the facility. Many inhabitants of the Standing Rock Indian Reservation are employed at the casino. Located just 25 miles from the state's border with South Dakota, the casino also serves the north-central region of that state.

The Pavilion

Prairie Knights is also home to an entertainment pavilion that sees about 15 music concerts every year. It has become one of the largest entertainment attractions in the western half of the state, being host to more national music acts than the nearby Bismarck Civic Center per year. Musical acts have included country, hard rock, and parodist "Weird Al" Yankovic.
