Clarence Bell (basketball)

Clarence ”Puggy” Bell was an American basketball player for the New York Rens. Clarence was the MVP during the 1939 World Professional Basketball Tournament. [1]

Bell won a World Basketball Championship in 1939 and 1943.[2] He was the first black recipient of the MVP award.[3] In 2005, he was elected to the NYC Basketball Hall of Fame. [4]
