Rémy Couvez is a French musician and composer who plays the hurdy-gurdy.[1]
Biography
He was introduced to the hurdy-gurdy in 1978, and he started playing in 1981. Until 2000, he created music combining the hurdy-gurdy with electric instruments. Since then, he's come back to acoustic music.
Concerts
In 1982, he is performing his first concert solo.[2]
He's currently doing concerts with:[3][4][5][6]
- Septet: hurdy gurdy, alto, cello, double bass, saxophone, trombone and percussion instrument ;[2]
- Quintet: hurdy gurdy, double bass, saxophone, trombone and percussion instrument ;
- Trio: hurdy gurdy, double bass, and percussion instrument ;
- Duet: hurdy gurdy and pipe organ.[7][8][9]
