Rajkumar Sharma

Rajkumar Sharma, was born in Delhi on 18 June 1965, and is a cricket coach and a former Ranji Trophy player.

Early Years

Sharma was a right handed batsman and a right-arm off break bowler. He represented Delhi in First Class Cricket (1986-1991) matches and also some List A matches

Success with West Delhi Cricket Academy

Sharma founded West Delhi Cricket Academy in the year 1998 with a mission to produce top-class cricketers. He opened its four branches in Delhi. He is still a senior coach in the academy. Virat Kohli, who was raised in Uttam Nagar, trained at the West Delhi Cricket Academy since its inception in 1998. He was Virat Kohli's coach. He has many hard working students with him like Rajesh Sharma, Pradeep Malik, Amandeep Jaiswal, Dhruv Singh, Manoj Kumar, Yogen Udar and Anirudh Venkatesh (these students are from West Delhi Academy Dwarka) Madhav Sharma (Hari Nagar branch) and many more. Recently he won Dronacharaya award.
