Life and career

Ramaj Eroc was born Jamar Core in Chicago, Illinois in 1991 on the city's south side. At a young age, he started freestyles with his brother Hona Costello until he was 12 years old, when he started writing. It wasn't until 2008 when he decided to seriously pursue a music career.[4] In 2013, he released a mixtape titled The 'Untitled' EP.[2] In 2014, he released another mixtape, titled Sincerely.[5]

In 2015, Ramaj Eroc released two huge singles titled Hooptie & I Love You More featuring Chicago rapper Noname Gypsy. I Love You More was described by HipHopDX as "dope piece of art",[6] while stupidDOPE praised Ramaj on Hooptie for "showing off his effortlessly smooth style, doing so over top of this haunting and rather tough instrumental." [7]
