Rani Bagh, Delhi

Rani Bagh is a densely populated residential area in the northwest part of Delhi, India. It is situated quite near to Pitam Pura, Saraswati Vihar, Lok Vihar, Sant Nagar, Rani Bagh and Punjabi Bagh. It is well connected to various parts of Delhi. Its major attraction is the famous M2K PitamPura,Chunmun and a group of restaurants such as Otik and Oxygen. Bharat Kharbanda lives here.

Subdivisions

The various neighborhoods inside Rani Bagh include Mahindra Park, Multani Mohalla, Raja Park, Saraswati Vihar and Rishi Nagar. It is located in the Rohini zone and famous for its Rani-Bagh market This area has 3 metro feeder bus facilities which Connect Pitampura, Netaji Subhash Palace and Kirti Nagar Metro Stations.[1]

Shakur Basti Railway station

The area is also famous because of the presence of Shakur Basti railway station which is a major railway station in Delhi and is being upgraded with better facilities. The station complex occupies a huge area as it comprises Shakur Basti Diesel Shed (Rail Code - SSB), Railway Store House, Cement Siding and other complexes. Shakur Basti Railway Colony is a major residential area of Rani Bagh area. It provides shelter to many rail workers and their families. It covers a large piece of land having approximately 500 flats generally known as quarters. The colony is divided into 2 parts north colony and south colony, both parts are divided by the rail lines. The colony was redeveloped after 2008 with the construction of Jogging Track Central Park, Railway Gym, Watering Tanks, Community Center and upgrading of roads.
