Eduardo "Eddy" Ignacio Puyol (born July 4, 1979), who goes by the stage name Rawsrvnt (pronounced raw servant), is an American Christian hip hop artist, speaker, songwriter, and record producer. He has released seven studio albums, four extended plays, several singles, and a compilation album with greatest hits.

Early life

Rawsrvnt was born Eduardo Ignacio Puyol,[1] on July 4, 1979,[2] in Miami, Florida,[3] to father and mother, Orlando and Susana Puyol (née, Smith), where he was raised with his younger siblings, a sister, Sofia, and a brother, Roberto ("Bobby").[4] His parents are both immigrants from Cuba; they own and operate a learning center for children.[4][5]

Music career

Rawsrvnt started his music recording career in 2002, with the first studio album, Representin', that was released by Soul Deep Records on March 18, 2003.[6][7] The subsequent release, Gone Fishin', a studio album, was released on August 1, 2004 from Soul Deep Records.[8][9] His next release, an extended play, Unshakeable, was released on September 20, 2005 with Soul Deep Records.[10] He released In Rare Form, a studio album, on August 1, 2006 by Soul Deep Records.[11][12] The studio album Makin' Moves was released from Soul Deep Records, on September 18, 2007.[13][14] He released Breathe, an extended play, on August 19, 2008, by Soul Deep Records.[15] His subsequent release, Chopped & Screwed, was released on November 25, 2008 with Soul Deep Records.[16] The next studio album, No Ordinary Love, was released from Soul Deep Records, on March 16, 2010 and rereleased on March 1, 2011.[17][18][19] The deluxe version of No Ordinary Love named Love Deluxe, was released on May 1, 2012, with Soul Deep Records.[20] The compilation album of greatest hits, A Decade of Faith, was released with Soul Deep Records on October 2, 2012.[21] He released, #LoveStruck, an extended play, on October 14, 2014, from Soul Deep Records.[22] His seventh studio album, Game Changer, was released on October 9, 2015, with Soul Deep Records.[23] A reggae extended play project, Soul Deep, originally released on August 7, 2012 by Soul Deep Records was rereleased with 3 revamped tracks for optimal sound quality on July 15, 2016.[24][25]

Personal life

Puyol married Chrissy Alvarez on July 19, 2014,[26][27][28] where they now reside in West Palm Beach, Florida, with their two daughters.[29][30]
