RedSeal Inc. or RedSeal is a private company located in Silicon Valley that provides a cybersecurity analytics platform to Global 2000 organizations in order to certify that their networks are secure. The platform provides companies with a Digital Resilience Score which acts as a simple metric for how effectively their current security measures are working to protect their network.[1]

RedSeal's customers are Global 2000 corporations from various industries including Adobe Systems, Capital One, PG&E, Cisco Systems and Salesforce.com. They also serve government agencies including the Department of Defense, U.S. Army and members of the civilian and intelligence communities.[2]

History

RedSeal was first founded in 2004. In 2006 they raised $14.6M in Series A funding from Venrock, Leapfrog Ventures and Sutter Hill Ventures[3] and officially launched their security management technology in June 2006.[4]
The company was later relaunched as RedSeal Inc. in 2014 with a new CEO, Ray Rothrock, and received $17 million in Series C funding the following year.[5][6]

In 2015, RedSeal was listed among Red Herring's Top 100 Global Winners[8] for influential technology startups and the Deloitte Fast 500 for the fastest growing technology companies.[9]
The company's Cybersecurity Analytics program won the Cyber Defense Magazine 2016 Infosec Award for the "Most Innovative - Network Security" category.[10] In the same year, The product "RedSeal 8.1" was awarded the Silver Award for Network Security and Management by the Infosecurity Products Guide[11]
