Reetika Khera is an Indian economist and social scientist.[1]

Early life

Reetika Khera has a Ph.D from Delhi School of Economics. She was a student of noted economist and activist, Jean Dreze.

Career

Reetika Khera is an Associate Professor in the Humanities and Social Sciences department at Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. She has been actively involved in working in the implementation of India's NREGA scheme. She has been associated with the G. B. Pant Social Science Institute, Allahabad University and is a visitor at the Centre for Development Economics,[2] Delhi School of Economics. She has published quite a few research papers on analyzing the NREGA, Public Distribution System (PDS) and other socio-economic issues concerning India. Her most important project is the "Group Measurement" of NREGA work - The Jalore Experiment[3] [4]Her most cited peer-reviewed papers are:
