Reflex neurovascular dystrophy

Reflex neurovascular dystrophy (RND), also known as complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) and reflex sympathetic dystrophy syndrome, is a rare sympathetic nervous system disorder characterized by severe chronic pain.[1]

On the February 12, 2013 Dance Moms episode titled Rotten to the Core, Dance Mom Holly revealed her daughter and dancer Nia suffers from RND. Holly revealed Nia had been pain free for two years but expressed concern over a relapse due to demands of competitive dancing.[2][3]
